General Information
Engagement parties are 8 hours long. They are a fantastic to win points in popularity characteristics. The items are notoriously cheap, but they do require you to spend emeralds or diamonds.
However, you win about 100 emeralds, 200 experience points, and $35,000 from the missions in the engagement party.
For Ladies interested in chatting, engagement parties are perfect for you. Often, an engagement party will have hundreds of guests online at the same time, and you can chat as long as your heart desires.
How to get invited
Finding a Party
Go the Party Center and check out which Ladies are hosting parties! Note that you must be on time to that Lady's engagement party; otherwise, you will most likely be kicked out. Once you find an engagement party you can attend, send a sweet message to that Lady. I assure you that Lady will most likely invite you because it benefits her through popularity points and so forth. If she does not, then her guest list may be full and cannot invite you. You can do no harm by asking!

Message
However, for those uncertain on how to write the message, always be respectful and friendly! Below is one way to format your message. Of course, change it the format if you need to, or better yet, don't even use it and make up your own message!
Hi [Lady Name]!
I am [Your Name]. I hope I am not being too forward, but I would love to attend your engagement party. I think your Lady is so chic with her [clothing items such as dress, shirt, skirt, etc.], and I think your engagement party will be so much fun! Thank you for considering!

How to Prepare
Dress Code
Ask the host if there is a dress code, and if there is a dress code, follow it! Some may require a certain kind of dress (e.g. uniform color, type of clothing) or some may just be vague and say casual. My first engagement party was casual dress. Note that if you want to be photographed with the host, you may have to wear a certain type of dress and accessories. On that note, if you want to be photographed with the host, ask her in a private message. Do not ask her in the chat room because she just may not simply see the request. The chat room will be buzzing with chats.
Money and Emeralds
Have about 60 emeralds in your bank account to buy gifts. The gift icon is in the upper right hand corner. When you buy the host a gift, both she and you will receive the popularity points.
I suggest you take full advantage of the gifts because it is very cheap. Yes, it costs emeralds, but it is worth it. Also be aware that you can only a gift for the host every 30 minutes. So, choose your gift wisely. For higher-level Ladies, I recommend buying pet clothing because as I mentioned in my tip section, it is difficult to level up on devotion, once you bought all the clothing in the pet store. Dollar-wise, you only need $2000 or less.
Supermodels, Photo Sessions, and Mini-Games
Prepare a supermodel and photo session before the engagement party starts. Do not do mini-games such as scratch and fashion show on the day of the engagement party. You may need these for missions, and some missions go quickly. You may not get a chance to complete the missions. So, prepare ahead of time!
What To Do
Missions
Every hour or until the previous mission is completed, you have a group mission. There are 20 group missions in total. Examples are buying portfolio cases or powder-case. Be respectful and complete the mission only once or twice! Maximum number of times you complete a mission should be four. Many Ladies may kick you out if you complete the missions too many times. And of course, you are representing Buffy! Give other Ladies a chance to complete the mission. You will see the rare rude Lady trying to complete the mission as fast as possible, but remember you are respectful Slayer Ladies!
Bonuses
This is one of my favorite parts of the engagement party. Every 15 minutes for 8 hours (when the engagement party ends), you get a popularity bonus. Click on schedule, and you will see a gift icon. Click on it, and you will get usually a popularity bonus, whose price could range from 3 emeralds to 9 diamonds. You may also get photo and supermodel session equipment. Nonetheless, these bonuses will be free for you. So, remember to do this Ladies!
Gifts
Two words: buy gifts! You can buy a gift for the host every 30 minutes. Gifts go quickly, so buy them as soon as possible! For my first party, one hour in, and all the gifts I could buy were already gone. My recommendations on what to buy are under the "Money and Emeralds" section.
Thumbs Up Button
You can click on this every hour. You will get nothing at out of doing so, but the host will. She will get the chance to win a prize at the end of the month. So, click on it to show your support and thanks for the invite!
​ Toast
The toast occurs about three hours before the engagement party ends. You will get 10 emeralds for toasting. So, be sure to do that! After that, there will be no bonuses for an hour. Two hours before the engagement party end, bonuses will be available again. This time, however, the bonuses will be experience points. So, use these bonuses wisely, if at all.
